Dear Parents, We worked really hard this week on our summative assessments. The students created models or experiments to show their understanding of our central idea Understanding the way matter behaves can help us to use it for our benefit. Next week we will finish up our summatives and reflect on what we have learned. We began writing informational reports this week. We looked at examples and the structure of a report. We practiced finding relevant information and changing it into our own words. We also analysed captions in our book, and reviewed spelling words. We focused on telling the time. We practiced reading the time using analog and digital clocks. We are still working on understanding the time when it is written out. For example twenty to seven. We also practiced reading information from maps and describing position, and we reviewed our 2, 5, and 10 times tables. Have a great weekend! Ms. Stacy.
