Dear Parents, We had a very busy week finishing our third unit, where we are in place and time! We really enjoyed presenting today! English: We improved on our persuasive writing and used this language to convince someone to visit our ancient civilisation. We worked on improving our spellings too and began studying spellings for homework. We guessed the pronouns in some sentences. Maths: We used bar graphs and Venn diagrams . We decided how to represent data we learned about ancient civilisations. We used this to compare the similarities and differences between different civilisations. Unit of Inquiry: We worked on our  summative assessment  to show our understanding of the central idea "Ancient civilisations impact our lives". We made a tourism advert for an ancient civilisation of our choice and presented it to our friends. It was a lot of fun! Next week: We will begin our next unit, sharing the planet! Have a good weekend! Ms. Stacy.
