Week 13-End of Term 1

Dear Parents, I can't believe Term 1 is already over! It went by in a flash! We had a lot of fun events and inquired into two unit ( who we are and how the world works ). We enjoyed our last few days of the term. I hope everyone has a safe and fun summer! See you in September! We finished getting our experiments ready for our summative assessments. We also made cool posters and worked on our artistic design. The students showed their understanding of how matter/energy works and how we can use this to help people. Week 12

Dear Parents, We had our last full week of term 1! The time has gone by so fast! We are still working on the Learner Profile Attributes each day. We have improved a lot this term and will continue to try our best to be balanced, caring, communicators, open-minded, knowledgeable, risk-takers, inquirers, thinkers, reflective, and principled! We talked about train safety and made some posters for homework to communicate to everyone the importance of being safe around trains. This week we began working on our summative assessments for our second unit: how the world works. The students decided that they wanted to research and carry out a science experiments to show their understanding of matter and energy. We have had a lot of fun this week figuring out how to do our experiments. We researched the procedures online, wrote out plans, made material lists, drew out diagrams, made predictions, and started setting up our experiments. We are almost finished. Next week, w
