Term 3 Week 6

Dear Parents,

We had a short but busy week! We practiced for the ISA tests and agreed that we are excited to do the tests properly next year. Thank you for taking the time to attend PTCs. It is great to have a chance to speak to you in person!

Unit of Inquiry: We inquired into different artists and learned about their life stories. We focused on musician Celia Cruz, fashion designer Coco Chanel, and painter Jackson Pollock. We discovered that there are a lot of different art forms, such as music and fashion designing. We looked at some painting by Jackson Pollock and discussed how they made us feel or what we saw in them. We were inspired to create our own paintings in the style of Pollock.

We worked on our plot for our YEP play. We split into teams and made plans for our scripts, set design, and props. We will work on these next week.

Reminders:
-Japanese Culture Day is Thursday, January 21st.

Enjoy your weekend!
Ms. Stacy.
