Term 2 Week 3

 Dear Parents,

We were very sad to say goodbye to Rio this week. We wish Rio and his family all the best in Shanghai and hope to meet them again!

UOI: We were very interested in finding facts about Greek mythology and gods, so we split into teams to research about a god, create a poster, and teach the rest of the class about our god. It was a lot of fun finding out about the different gods. We also had Angelique from sixth grade come and teach us about the gods!

English: We continued to work on our personal narrative writing skills. We wrote a basic outline of our stories. We learned that an author's purpose is to persuade, inform, or entertain the reader.

Maths: We worked on some mental subtraction skills. We looked at lines of symmetry and practiced finding all of the lines of symmetry in shapes.

Homework: We are struggling to be organised and responsible for our homework. We will be starting "Homework reports" from next week. Every Friday, I will send home a report for you to read with your child and sign.

Thank you,

Ms. Stacy.
